Oase Peat Filter Media lowers the pH value and slowly releases humic acid into the water making the aquarium ideal for inhabitants that prefer a slightly acidic environment. The lower pH water value also satisfies the breeding requirements of certain species of tropical fish. The release of humic acid results in a slightly yellowish water colour which helps prevents algae growth.

Directions:
For best results, Oase Peat should be rinsed prior to use and placed in a position to maximise the through flow of water. This makes them ideal for use in an external canister filter, internal filter, hang on filter, or a trickle filter.
